Fashion-PR-turned-entrepreneur, Anna Bance, has ingeniously created girlmeetsdress.com, a site based on the mantra 'don't buy a new designer dress, rent one'. Her website stocks a huge range of gorgeous dresses, including catwalk looks from the likes of Philip Lim (above) and DVF. Dresses start at about £40 for two nights, new dresses hit the website every week and they even take care of the dry cleaning! Perfect for wardrobe dilemnas for a big event! It reminds me of the 'rent-a-bag' idea that was in SATC:The Movie. I doubt a friend will buy me that designer dress I have my eye on so I may well have to stick with 'rent-a-dress'...
