....okay, not-so-manic was my Monday, I was just at work, but I love my job! We have Charity Week coming up at work and I have volunteered to help at a 'swishing event' aka a clothing swap event! I got chatting to the woman whose idea it was to do one this year and got super excited and said I'd love to help out. Secretly I'd love to take over, but I don't have that control. Yet! I even thought up a tagline: One woman's Primark is another woman's Prada. I haven't seen the poster for it yet so I don't know whether it has been used. I think it's kinda funny.....or gay, I've not quite decided.
After work I trotted off to Westfield shopping centre, god knows why, there is nothing on the high street at the moment, in my opinion. And believe me, I'm searching! A gal has money and she wants to spend it okay! But I wanted to pick up a pair of harem pants (yes another pair, but the other pair I have is a jumpsuit) I'd spotted, £16 from New Look, bargain. I plan to wear them tomorrow with my oversized floral tee from Topshop and my floral blazer, Topshop aswell. And my new boot/shoes/sandals from Peacocks. I am literally wearing those into the ground at the moment! Perfectly comfortable for the journey back to Liverpool after work tomorrow. While I'm at home I'll be wearing them with a vintage large polka dotted tee, a la Michael Kors. May even don the round sunglasses too if the sun decides to shine up north.
I also bought some MAC eyelashes. At work I am the 'eyelash girl'! I just love them, and have now mastered the art of a 2 minute application. Effort? What effort?! These ones are thick and fabulous and perfect for my packed diary this week!
While out the other day, shopping (yes, again! I told you I was searching!), actually I was buying both my sisters birthday presents, stood there scratching my head and looking on in bewilderment in the Converse shop in Carnaby Street, I went on to choose these Converse (pictured), not a bad present for a 13 year old. I decided I needed to get me a present, so I picked up this wooden bird necklace from Accessorize, hippy hippy shake! While on the phone to my sister later that evening, we were both describing this necklace we wanted and it was this very one that I'd bought! Sister intuition: very high.
While I'm blabbing on I may as well ask, what's going on with the world? Elle was out last Wednesday and Vogue isn't out until THIS Thursday! They sure know how to keep a gal waiting. Another thing that's set to keep us waiting is the credit crunch, which is apparently going to last 'till 2013 zzzz...
